Disc Golf Shop and More LLC Mission Statement Disc Golf Shop and More LLC was established in 2008 for the purpose of promoting the international sport of disc golf in Bowling Green, KY. It is DGSM’s mission to introduce disc golf to our community and to establish broad based public support for the sport. Our purpose and mission are furthered through for primary focus areas: (1) education; (2) partnerships; (3) focusing on women and children; (4) providing current players organized leagues, events and tournaments;

Education: DGSM’s primary goal is to educate people in our community about the sport and the numerous benefits disc golf has to offer the community at large. We will also continue our efforts to teach new players how to play the sport through educational clinics, seminars, youth instructional programs, and in other forums. We will encourage disc golfers and other users of multi-recreational areas to be environmentally conscious. Finally, DGSM is dedicated to educating public entities, public benefit organizations, and private companies, the positive impact disc golf has made around the world.

Partnerships: The success of disc golf in the community is dependent on the partnerships with national and local public entities, public benefit organizations, the business community, as well as, private individuals who are willing to donate their time and efforts. Coordinating and partnering with these various entities and individuals will ensure the success of disc golf in Bowling Green, while helping the community to realize the multiple benefits of the sport.

Focusing on women and children: We will offer women and kids only events, to increase awareness of this lifetime fitness activity. Women and children are the future of disc golf, and DGSM wants to ensure they have every opportunity to succeed and enjoy this great family sport. We will help schools, and  youth organizations introduce the health benefits, and the enjoyment of disc golf to children of all ages.

Providing current players organized leagues and events: Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, and Bowling Green is globally recognized as one of the best places to visit and play. DGSM will provide organized leagues/events/tournaments, to encourage competition, and build relationships among the disc golfers. DGSM will work with local and national companies to obtain sponsor dollars and merchandise to provide players, in exchange for advertisement/local exposure in Bowling Green and disc golfers around the world.
